Here we go.
A mother that had to abandon her baby boy, for reasons unknown to us.
These mothers had to say goodbye to their babies. But their last act they did for them was making sure that they were left in a safe place.
A mother that was told that her daughter could be saved… If she let her go. A mother who didn’t see her baby girl for sixteen years because she knew that was the only way her daughter would be safe.
A mother who knew her son was alive, but could never talk to him, only watch over him, because she knew that she couldn’t interfere with his life until he could become immortal again.
A mother who was separated from her baby boy because she was trying to protect him..
A mother who believed that her son was dead. A mother who stayed in her kingdom despite the death of her mate and son, despite the tyrant that took over her kingdom, because she knew that was her duty. A mother that deserved nothing more than to find out her son was actually alive.
A mother who never gave up hope that her daughter was alive. For nearly twenty years this mother waited for her baby girl to return. A mother who knew that this girl, this girl with short brown hair so much different than it had been when she was a baby, was her daughter as soon as she saw her.
okay don’t look at me I’m getting emotional
A mother that never got to see her son grow up. A mother that we know gave her life to distract a jaguar so that he wouldn’t hurt her baby.
A mother that knew that there was no way she could fight off a barracuda, but tried anyway, so that all of her babies would be able to live another day.
A mother that we all know ran slower than her son, so that the hunters would shoot her and not him.
A mother that never got to see her little girl grow up into a beautiful woman and an amazing queen.
A mother who loved her son, regardless of what he looked like, and whose last act was to get him to the safety of the church.
A mother who died trying to protect her cub. A misunderstood bear that tried as hard as she could to avoid hunters, and only killed one of them because her little boy was in danger.
A mother who found a creature that was nothing like anything she had ever seen. A mother who put that aside, because she saw a baby that needed her as much as she needed him.
A second mother who found a baby that looked nothing like her kind. A mother who ignored that because all she saw was a helpless little baby that she knew she had to help.
A mother who found a baby and knew he was special from the beginning. A mother who raised and loved him, no matter what anyone around her told her.
A mother that was not afraid to be herself, who found a boy that wasn’t afraid to be himself. A mother who helped teach a young boy what it really meant to be a part of a family.
A mother that we don’t know much about, except for the fact that by adopting a little girl who needed a home and love, she saved her life.
A mother that got to watch her girl grow up into a beautiful woman and achieve every dream she ever wanted. A woman who was proud of her daughter, no matter what.
A mother that never once shamed her daughter for having dreams and never once doubted her stories.
A mother that got to see her little girl have the same adventures as her.
A mother that watched as her son grew up into a handsome young man. A mother that knew that now, all she really had were memories of him and all of his adventures with his toys. A mother that had to do the hardest thing: let go.
A mother whose number one priority was making sure that all of her babies were safe, no matter what.
A mother that knew from the start that her daughter would grow up to be the brave queen she was meant to be. A mother that trusted her daughter’s judgement 100% because when she looked at her, she saw her own mate.
A mother that was willing to travel as far as she needed to get her babies back. A mother that saw that there were puppies that needed her. More puppies than she could ever take care of, but she took them anyways, because she knew they had to have somebody.
A mother that went on an incredible journey with her daughter and learned that sometimes you have to loosen your grip on your child if you want to see them grow. A mother who was willing to change her entire lifestyle for the happiness of her daughter.
A mother that knew what her dream was even as a child and never once stopped trying to achieve that dream. A mother who is fucking bad ass.
A mother who feared that she would never see her daughter again. And then learned that her seventeen year old little girl had saved all of China.
A mother that had to let her son go. A mother that did this, knowing that there was a possibility that she would never see him again. A mother who had lost everything: Her husband and her Inn and had only her son left. And she still let him go.
A mother that had faith, no matter how bad things got, that both of her daughters would be strong enough to take care of themselves and their colony.
A mother that didn’t know if she’d see her little boy again, but never stopped waiting for him to come home. A mother that took in a fifth puppy as her own because she saw that she needed a family.
A mother that knew that the situation she was throwing her daughter into was tough one. A mother who never lost touch with who she really was, even after becoming royalty, and making sure that her daughter kept her same morals too.
A mother that had to accept the fact that her children were special and she couldn’t hold them down forever. A mother who relaxed her grip on her children and let them do what they were meant to - save the world.
A mother who never once stopped being a bad ass. Who was supportive of her husband no matter what, and who raised her kids the best way she could have.
Okay, just a second shout out to my favorite moms.
Fucking gorgeous goddess
Shit guys, I got emotional writing Plio’s, she is the most beautifully animated creature ever.

The day was saved thanks to Pixar!
Though presented as a loving mother to Andy and Molly, Ms. Davis is actually, without meaning to be, a major threat to the toys, as she frequently asks Andy to throw out the toys he no longer wants. Ms. Davis’ actions regarding the toys sets the plot in motion in all three films. In the first film, she purchases a Buzz Lightyear toy for Andy on his birthday, prompting the rivalry between Buzz and Woody which leads to them being lost and forced to find their way home. In the second film, Ms. Davis tries to sell Wheezy at her yard sale, prompting Woody’s rescue attempt where he is subsequently stolen by Al. In the third film, she orders Andy to clean out his room before going to college and puts the bag of toys Andy was putting in the attic out on the curb as trash by mistake, causing them to be donated to Sunnyside Daycare. Because of this, Ms. Davis could be considered an anti-hero.
This scene okay. This fucking scene is probably the most important, home-hitting scene for me in any Pixar movie ever. Even Finding Nemo, and that movie has been near and dear to me since I got the VHS.
Because this scene is why Pixar waited until now to release this movie. This is where most of us are at right now in our lives: we’re realizing that trying hard and doing the best we can just isn’t enough sometimes to accomplish our dreams. Passion alone just isn’t enough to beat our circumstances. We’re in a lot of pain and we have so many people telling us “oh, I know how you feel” without really REALLY listening or trying to understand.
In the end Mike is able to realize that just because he can’t be scary doesn’t mean he’s failed, and I think that’s what the developers at Pixar want to pass on to us, in the best way they know how: just because you’re not where you want to be in life doesn’t mean your experiences were worthless. They’re just taking you in a different direction than intended. Sometimes people get ahead in life just because of their family name or because they just have this SOMETHING that you can’t teach. But that doesn’t mean you should quit on yourself, because you have so much to offer that you haven’t even realized yourself.
You’re not just okay. You’re great. And don’t let anybody tell you any differently.
This post. All of it. Also, this movie, I really liked it.
Four reasons Pixar ruined my life.
Legends who started a legacy with a mouse
"From the beginning, I kept saying it’s not the technology that’s going to entertain audiences, it’s the story." - John Lasseter
In Cars 2 one of the racecars mentions their mother. And then the racecar waves to his mother in the audience. One automobile birthed another automobile.
When Mater tries to convince a car that he is not a spy, he says “I’m not a spy. my specialty is towing and salvage”. The car responds by saying “Right. and mine is developing iPhone apps” before winking. Not only is this a poorly placed pop cultural reference, but they have iPhones in this world. Smartphones. Cars can hold mobile phones and use them and use their touch screen for various uses.
In Cars 2 there is a Pope. The pope is a car in a pope hat. he rides around in a Popemobile. A CAr is riding in another car. They make reference to the Popemobile. “Is the Popemobile Catholic?”, Mater says as a “Well duhhh” moment, much like our saying, “Is the Pope catholic?”. presumably this means the Popemobile is employed and must be specifically Catholic in order to be the chauffeur and carrier to the regular pope. Also, Catholicism is in this Universe. This means that there must have been an actual Jesus Christ car. Also they mention at one point that gasoline is a “Fossil fuel. As in dead dinosaurs!” so there must have been dinosaurs at one point in the Cars universe but were they actual dinosaurs or car dinosaurs how did this civilsation start how did the
